A Cats Perspective

Imagine.. aliens from outer space have arrived. They are 75 feet tall aliens in the shape of star fish.

Imagine… you are a pregnant woman. You just had a little baby boy. After about a year, a star fish shaped alien takes him away.

Imagine… the starfish alien raises the baby as a pet. Sometimes it brings out a plate of milk, other times a plate of food. The baby never sees another human. The starfish dude waves its many thousands of finger like tentacles and sometimes it even squeaks.

This happens for dozens of years.

You would imagine this baby would be quite a bit different from anyone you ever met. Does he/she know how to talk? Probably not. Did he know that the thousands of fingerling tentacles waving were the star fishes attempt at communicating? Or at least cooing? Probably not. Does he/she shower daily, or just once in a blue moon with way too hot or way
too cool water? Probably almost never. What about silverware, would this person use silverware.

What if one of these kind of baby’s were introduced into the the life of another similarly raised baby? Would they be territorial? Would they fight? Would they communicate? Probably not well. Neither was taught a language. Neither even know what a conversation is.

Maybe one of the humans would squeek, maybe the other would grunt.

If you think about it, this is similar to the life of cats. Cats don’t know the rules, they don’t know how to behave, heck, they barely know how to communicate with each other.
